Ascent for Users & Caregivers

Please note: If the red indicator light is on, you should NOT operate Ascent as it may not be fully powered. If the light is GREEN then its battery is charging, but it’s ready to use. If NO lights are on, it's also safe to operate Ascent. Once the tray is open, you can proceed to load someone onto it.

Step 1: Start by pulling the tray down from its upright closed position.

Step 2: Lower Ascent to a comfortable height, and load the person onto the tray.

Step 3: To release the safety guard, hold it in place and pull out the metal plunger on the right side, then swing it around and click into place.

Step 4: Once the person is comfortably positioned and the guard is in place, use the dual-control buttons on the front of the tray or the righthand side to raise or lower the table to your preferred height. Then proceed to change as needed.

Step 5: When you are finished using the changing table, push the plunger to swing the safety rail back under the tray, and lower it to your desired height for comfortable unloading.

Step 6: Fold Ascent back into its upright position.
